RISE UP: Empowering Young Men for Success

The Utica City School District System of Care, in partnership with ICAN, invites the community to RISE UP, a day of connection, inspiration, and empowerment for young men.

This event is designed for young men ages 11 and up who live in the Utica City School District and provides a safe, encouraging environment where youth can connect with positive influences, access supportive resources, and feel empowered to rise above challenges.

🎤 Keynote Speaker

Kevin Berthia — nationally recognized suicide survivor, speaker, and suicide prevention advocate — will share his powerful story of resilience, hope, and mental wellness. His message focuses on overcoming adversity, breaking the silence around mental illness, and illuminating a path toward a brighter future.

🧩 Event Highlights

• Meaningful conversations with positive male role models from the community

• Interactive activities that encourage engagement and connection

• Community resource tables offering information, opportunities, and support for youth and families

• Food and refreshments provided
